Beautiful, Elevated Website for Hawarden

Objective

Hawarden Estate is one of Britain’s most creative, forward-thinking, storied and beautiful private estates. For the past twenty years this has been a place in transition as two generations of the Gladstone family restore and reinvigorate this unique place through the renovation of historic buildings and a giant walled garden, the creation of new businesses, the restoration of wild meadows and woodland and the conversion of farmland to organic. Hawarden was in need of a new website to reflect it’s creative spirit and and bring users into their world online. ASJ Studio designed its viual identity and built it’s website on Squarespace.

Bringing the spirit of Hawarden online, ASJ Studio designed a beautiful, refined website that celebrates the Estate’s heritage while showcasing its vibrant offerings. The site is structured to feel playful and immersive, a blend of editorial storytelling and clear user journeys.

With a wide variety of events, experiences, and spaces on offer, flexibility was key. The design balances quiet elegance with practicality: clean layouts, timeless typography, and intuitive navigation allow every corner of the Estate from seasonal gatherings to kitchen workshops to come into focus.

Rich imagery and thoughtful pacing invite visitors to explore, and return. The result is a digital experience that feels both rooted and current, a true reflection of Hawarden’s unique character.
